In today’s hyper-connected world, new threats emerge daily, making security critical for effectively running businesses without disruption. The Santander X Global Challenge | Cyberprotect the Future, launched by Santander Bank and the Oxenti Foundation, is a global competition aimed at supporting and promoting growth and innovation in the cybersecurity industry.
Judges analyzed more than 250 startups and scaleups from all over the world that offer scalable and innovative security products in order to select the top solutions.
Azion’s modern edge platform was named a winner for its robust and programmable security suite, used by large banks, financial institutions, e-commerce platforms, and retailers, which gives users the ability to safeguard against attacks and vulnerabilities in real time.
The award was delivered during the 2023 edition of the Web Summit in Lisbon, Portugal, held on November 11-14th, and considered one of the “world’s premier tech conferences,” according to Politico.
It was the first time we crossed the Atlantic to receive an award on European soil. Scaleups differ from startups by having an established business model and a consistent customer base. They are focusing on growing and scaling their operations in an efficient and sustainable manner. Being named in this category is a recognition of Azion’s maturity and its solid position in the market.
“At Azion, we provide our customers with a programmable security perimeter to help them combat security challenges that are ever-evolving. This award validates the work we do and the value we deliver,” said Rafael Umann, CEO of Azion. “This recognition will serve as a springboard for further research and development to enhance Azion’s solution for our customers.”
The winners of the Santander X Global Cybersecurity Challenge win a cash prize along with the chance to gain visibility and connect with experts and investors in the industry through the Santander entrepreneur community, and demo days with the Santander cybersecurity team.
